Insurance & Billing

It is our policy to collect payment, including any deductible and/or co-insurance amounts, at the time of service unless you have made special arrangements with our billing staff. If your insurance plan has a co-pay, your insurance carrier requires that we collect it from you at the time of service.


 

We bill most large insurance carriers as a courtesy for our patients; however, we always suggest you check with your insurance company to verify that our physicians are participating providers in your plan, please see the list of major insurance carriers that we accept, or call us to verify that your insurance is one we bill. If you have questions about our fees or the insurance companies with which we contract, please contact our billing staff at (985) 446-2680, option 9.

New Patients

When making your first appointment, please have your insurance information available as the receptionist will transfer you to our insurance department to verify your insurance coverage and provide you with an estimated payment you will be responsible for at the time of service.

***NOTE***  Although the physicians of Family Doctor Clinic may treat established patients covered by your insurance carrier, please contact us to determine if the physicians are still accepting new patients with your coverage.
